Hilke Billerbeck ist langjährige Dozentin am Hamburger Konservatorium und mehreren Fortbildungsinstituten wie der Landesmusikakademie Hamburg, dem Gustav Stresemann Institut Bad Bevensen oder dem Sozialpädagogischen Fortbildungszentrum Hamburg.
Die Gitarristin und Musikerin spielt in verschiedenen Duo-Projekten, dem Elbe Saiten Quartett, der Waterkant Ceili Band und konzertiert auch als Solistin. Ihre Musik ist auf verschiedenen CD´s und Internetplattformen veröffentlicht.
Durch die Freude am Spiel der irischen Rahmentrommel Bodhràn eröffnete sich Hilke Billerbeck eine neue musikalische Welt.
In traditionellen Musikstilen, besonders in der Musik Irlands, hat die studierte Gitarristin und Elementare Musikpädagogin ihre kreative Quelle gefunden.
Sie ist regelmäßig beim Festival “Feile Strokestown” im County Roscommon / Irland eingeladen. Der Eurovision Song Contest Gewinner Charlie McGettigan hat die Hamburgerin in seine Radiosendung Shannonside eingeladen, um ihre Musik live vorzustellen. Aber auch in Konzerten ist Hilke Billerbeck immer öfter auf der “grünen” Insel zu hören.
Neben ihrer Arbeit als Lehrerin für Gitarre und Ukulele, leitet und organisiert sie Fortbildungen für pädagogische Fachkräfte und Musikpädagogen in Elementarer Musikpädagogik. An der Akademie des Hamburger Konservatorium ist Hilke Billerbeck für dieses Fachgebiet verantwortlich. Im Corona-Jahr 2020 hat sie zusammen mit Ulrike Buth das Folkorchester “Hanse Folk Collective” gegründet.
ABOUT
Hilke Billerbeck has lectured for many years at the Hamburger Konservatorium and other training institutes including the Landesmusikakademie Hamburg, the Gustav Stresemann Institute Bad Bevensen and the Social Pedagogical Training Center Hamburg.
As a guitarist and musician, Hilke performs as a soloist and in various duo projects. She is also an active member of the Elbe Saiten Quartett and the Waterkant Ceili Band. Her music is available on CD and on various internet platforms. Hilke’s introduction to the Irish frame drum, the Bodhran, opened up a new musical world to her. In traditional music styles, especially in the music of Ireland, the trained guitarist and Elementary Music Teacher found an inspiring and creative source for her work.
She is a regular annual guest performer at the ‘Feile Strokestown’ in County Roscommon, Ireland and has guested on Shannonside Radio with Eurovision winner Charile McGettigan amongst her many appearances in Ireland.
In addition to her work as a guitar and ukulele teacher, Hilke organises further education programs in Elementary Music Education. She is also a lecturer and course coordinator for advanced training in Elementary Music Eduction at the Hamburger Konservatorium. In 2020 she and Ulrike Buth launched the folkensemble “Hanse Folk Collective”.
